Fascinating! I have been describing a similar phenomenon to describe my way of thinking:
It is as if I am sitting in the middle of an encyclopedia. I can reach out and grab any three things I want and find a useful way to connect and utilize them. My knowledge = multiple different resources. I choose which to use depending on how I perceive the situation.
Am I understanding you correctly? I just did a very quick read.
It is exactly the same. I already knew you approach matters the same way not only because of the way you write, in which you search for the best possible illumination, sometimes by analogy or example l, or by AI designed art, but also your diverse interests and approaches.
I wonder if you find that your approach is less common? In my case, I've found thst even when people are interested in a topic, they are often interested in pushing one viewpoint exclusively and seem to take it personally when alternate viewpoints are being explored. The latter was especially evident in the academic paper following Maths/Physics PhDs I managed who would not look at any approach unless a paper had been written on it by someone and recognised by the community.
I was shocked to find out just how uncommon it is. People want me to swear allegiance to one specific type of therapy and only one theory 😂 I love and respect the therapies I have so laboriously learned but you have to know when to apply them and when to look for something else.
My allegiance is to the best version of the truth I can find that is helpful. Plus, I want learning to be fun.
My other per peeve is that people make things harder than necessary. Too much jargon, too many long complicated sentences.
My theory is a lot of it is fear + a lack of mental flexibility.
Fear = I could be wrong. I don’t want to look like a fool.
Mental Fle
You can understand my main points and apparently I can understand yours because YOU ARE CLEAR AND ACTUALLY TRYING TO COMMUNICATE.
